About ECU Health North Hospital

ECU Health North Hospital is a Joint Commission-accredited, 204-bed acute bed facility serving Halifax, Northampton and Warren counties in the north-central region of North Carolina. Its service area also reaches into southern Virginia. With more than 600 team members, the hospital offers a broad range of medical and surgical services. It features a 24-hour emergency department and offers advanced diagnostics as well as specialty and primary care.

Position Summary

Monitors Stockroom for inventory correctness.

Puts up all stock items from Receiving.

Ensures good housekeeping, order and arrangement in the Stockroom.

Follows-up on web order deliveries.

Follows-up on backorder items.

Runs reports as needed.

Change Pyxis par levels, add/delete Pyxis items.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School plus 1 year but less than 2 years of formal training or education.
  • Intermediate to advanced training in People Soft and Pyxis systems in regard to inventory is required. Basic training in Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and the organizations e-mail system is required.
  • More than 3 years but less than 4 years experience is required. Responsible experience in material handling, distribution, inventory management or related experience.Individuals must be an experienced user of People Soft and Pyxis software (in regard to inventory) and be able to use Microsoft products such as Word, Excel and Powerpoint effectively.  
  • Additional years of experience may be substituted for the required education.
