Position Summary

  • Demonstrates knowledge and competency in use of Diagnostic/equipment, C.R, and Digital Radiography.
  • Exhibits the use of proper Radiation Safety techniques for patient, self or others within the room.
  • Selects proper technical factors that adequately display pathology.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of Electronic Health Record and competency in charging procedures.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of PACS and ability to correct exceptions.
  • Demonstrates proper safety techniques for self and all customers.
  • Responsible for cleanliness of rooms and work environment.
  • Responsible for infection control (proper disinfectant of tables and instruments).
  • Participates, as needed, in quality improvement procedures.
  • Displays flexibility.
  • Volunteers for odd shifts/extra duties.
  • Transport patients, as needed.
  • Assist technologist when needed with difficult exams.
  • Participates in cost containment goals for department.
  • Communicate politely and effectively with patients, families, and other members of the health care team.
  • Adhere to Hospital and Departmental Policies and Procedures. Delivers quality patient care.
  • Ability to learn operation of Diagnostic equipment, Electronic Health Record, and PACS.
  • Desire and initiative to perform related duties.
  • Continue in-service education
  • Perform related duties are required

Minimum Requirements

  • MUST be currently enrolled in 2nd year of accredited program in Diagnostic Radiography
  • Provide official transcript to verify
  • HS diploma, equivalent or higher degree

Other Information

  • Temporary As Needed position
  • Schedule will be everyother weekend 9:00am to 6:00pm (Saturday) 9:00am to 8:00pm (Sunday) and filling in on 2nd shift after clinical during week
  • 4 positions available
