About ECU Health Edgecombe Hospital

ECU Health Edgecombe Hospital is a full-service, 117-bed acute care facility where residents of Tarboro and the surrounding communities can receive a wide range of health services close to home. As part of the ECU Health system of care, the hospital offers high quality care provided by more than 20 medical specialists, rehabilitation services, a birthing center, a cancer center, outpatient clinics and more.

 

Position Summary

As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for assessment, treatment planning and execution of Occupational Therapy treatments. These services are based on the patient/family preferences and the developmental needs, medical conditions and diseases as they affect patient care and recovery. You will also be responsible for maintaining patient care documentation and adherence to documentation guidelines. The Occupational Therapist shall provide patient care following development of a treatment plan completed considering the  patient's problems as related to occupational performance.

Minimum Requirements

  • 4 year degree or higher from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy 
  • New Graduates must have successfully passed the exam administered by the National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) and a current OT licensure and/or eligible with the State of North Carolina Board of Occupational Therapy (NCBOT)

Registration or Certification required:

  • North Carolina Board of Occupational Therapy (NCBOT)
  • National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)

CAREER LADDER

  • Level I:  0-3 years of experiences
  • Level II: 3-5 years of experiences
  • Level III: 5-10 years of experiences
  • Level IV: 10 years or more experiences

Other Information

  • 40 hours a week
  • Monday - Friday (8 am - 4:30 pm)
  • Required to work rotating Saturdays
  • Will work primarily in Acute Care with opportunities to work Outpatient, as needed
