Position Summary

The Credit Balance and Refund Supervisor is responsible for credit balance resolution, including refunds to patients, governmental agencies, and other third party payers, and for the submission of the Medicare and Medicaid quarterly credit balance reports for all Vidant Hospitals and Vidant Surgicenter. The position requires the ability to supervise staff, communicate effectively with internal and external customers, understand applicable information, payer, eligibility systems, and maintain working knowledge of payer regulations and reimbursement.

Minimum Requirements

  • 4 year college degree:  Hospital reimbursement, contract management
  • 3 Years of experience may substitute for 3 years of education.
  • 5 years or more experience in Business Office of  a Healthcare Provider, hospital claims and reimbursement experience preferred
