Position Summary
The swim instructor is responsible for the swimming instruction of both group and private swim lessons. Goals and objectives are set depending on the level of group classes or individually between the client and the instructor.
Responsibilities
Maintain a high level of professionalism and participate in ongoing skill development, such as team member meetings and departmental in-service trainings.
Ability to perform safe swim instruction, teach water safety techniques, motivate and encourage patrons regardless their variety of skill and age, private or group settings and maintain a safe environment each session.
Assist with task oriented responsibilties such as but not limited to daily cleaning of aquatic area, group instructor assistance, chemical and temperature readings, lap lane management for patrons, swim lesson registration and attendance recording to programs and services.
Minimum Requirements
Basic Skill Set or higher
Nationally Recognized CPR Certification
