Position Summary

The Inventory System Program Director is responsible for our overall automated inventory management program. Implementation and ongoing support of a new system - Par Excellence - will be the primary focus. As the Inventory System program director, you will coordinate efforts across ECU Health to ensure delivery of the right products to the right location and at the right time. The Inventory System Program Director plays an imperative role in patient care across ECU Health. Working in cross-functional teams with a customer service view is expected.

Responsibilities

1. Project Manager for installation and implementation of new inventory management system Par Excellence

Lead installation and integration of new inventory management system

Maintain accurate project plan ensuring project remains on time and under budget

Provide oversight and direction to Implementation team

Assist with creation of accurate drawings and related documents for PAR location installation

Work with on-site team to understand scope and needs of projects, including participating on walkthroughs

Review product orders for team and serve as liaison for manufacturing, shipping and purchasing departments

Coordinate efforts with Clinical teams, PAR Excellence Technical Support, Information Systems and Plant Operations to ensure efficient and on time installation

Provide complete and accurate product order documentation with sufficient lead time to ensure on time shipment and product availability

Ensure overall project management and documentation standards are met


2. Provide ongoing support and ensure proper operation of inventory management system

Provide training for hardware and software

Work with inventory management system technical support to resolve issues

Troubleshoot and resolve enterprise and departmental application problems

Provide support and leadership for major projects such as: opening of new services, patient care unit renovations and patient care unit moves


3. Serve as inventory technology and process expert

Make recommendations for improvement of existing processes

Manage Par Excellence reporting system and delivery of actionable items to leadership


4. Employ methods of change management to advance the organization by using tools, business processes, budget allocations and operational practices to reshape ECU Health inventory management.


5. Manage a team of Inventory management implementation specialist

Coach, mentor, and develop

Minimum Requirements

BS degree with two years of supply chain experience is required.

Substitution: Two year degree with 3 years supply chain-Par Excellence or project management, or 5 years experience supply chain.

Par Excellence or project management experience, Healthcare Capital Equipment Installation experience, and Project Management Certification a plus.
