ECU Health Multispecialty Clinic Tarboro combines local doctors, nurses, nurse practitioners and physician assistants who have years of experience caring for the community, with a brand new state-of the-art medical facility offering integrated, convenient and patient-centered care.

Position Summary

The Echocardiography Technician position requires an individual who possesses an extensive knowledge of cardiopulmonary anatomy and physiology. This position, under the supervision of the Medical Director and the Radiology Supervisor, is responsible for performing adult Echocardiograms (Echos). This position also completes initial Echo reports and prepares Echo data for transmission to the reading physicians. The position performs upon the order of a physician or licensed provider, within the scope of services outlined in the departmental policy and procedure manuals.

Minimum Requirements

  • Associate Degree
  • Zero to two years related experience
  • Credentialed as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)

Preferred 

  • 2 years or more related experiences preferred

  • 36 hours a week
  • Monday - Friday
